Hello,

My name is Rosie, and together with my little helpers, Belle and Lucy, and our very patient hubby, Cam, we are Dahlia Dayes. We are located in the Wellington region, with another Dahlia patch in the Manawatū.

My love of Dahlias started in my Mum's garden when I was a child. I loved picking all the beautiful blooms for family celebrations and decorating the dining room table. There was never a shortage of flowers, and I enjoyed the creative process. As I got older and went off to boarding school, I would always come home to a beautiful vase of fresh blooms picked by my Mum. I guess, subconsciously, they became a symbol of "home." So, of course, when Cam and I purchased our own home, I had to have Dahlias. What started as a few tubers given to me by my Mum quickly escalated into collecting all my favorites. In between toddler naps and the demands of Mum life, I found a new joy.

I have a particular interest in breeding new varieties from seed, and I hope our seeds and tubers bring you as much happiness as they have brought me.
